St. Lucia National Trust

The Saint Lucia national Trust is a non-governmental membership organissation created by an Act of Parliament. Its members drive the organisation's policies and programme. It is gvoverned by a Council comprising a mix of elected and institutional members. It receives a subvention from Government which meets about 20% of its operating costs, and raises the remainder through projects, user fees, venue rentals and the provision of services. Its focus in on protected areas and landscapes, species conservation and the protection of the built heritage
