Experience:

In the pilot sites we implemented successful experiences conducted by various public, private, and academia entities, which in the recent past were implemented in the different landscapes of the Bolivian Chaco. These measures are the result of a systematic process conducted during the identification of pilot sites, which concluded with the selection of best practices to address the issue of forest and land degradation in each Pilot Site.
The practices of sustainable forest management and land consolidation aim of these measures, in these highly fragile environments where trends show an accelerated degradation process. Moreover, there are areas of sustainable management, which were rescued as positive role models where the actions could be copied to similar sites. Shares of Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) and Sustainable Land Management (SLM) considered the cultural patterns of the communities involved, encourared the promotion of production processes, and conservation of environmental resources, while promoting satisfaction various basic needs, mainly food security of rural families within the paradigm of sustainability.
The "Pilot Site Villa Montes" had biophysical, socio-cultural, economic, productive and environmental quality characteristics, which showed special patterns relative to the other pilot sites identified. This uniqueness gave a representation to this scenario, with the exercise of the SFM /SLM practices; it will become a center of expertise that once systematized, will provide important references for programs and projects of similar size that have the slogan "Sustainable Management Forests and Lands.
The social feasibility of this site will became a reference for the dissemination of best practices, resting on strength of social actors involved in the initiative and escort regional institutional group.
