Fundación Temaikén

We work in the conservation of native wildlife species that are threatened and / or endangered, through strategies that combine field work and actions in controlled environments. We also work on Protected Areas preserving natural habitats of our country through:
• The creation of new protected areas:
• We foster agreements, arrangements and partnerships with businesses, governments and private landowners to increase the size of regulated areas in the country, declaring private reserves or through the donation of land and the incorporation of territories in the provincial system of protected areas.
• Through an agreement with the Ministry of Ecology Renewable Natural Resources and Tourism of Misiones we obtained the statement of the Osununú Private Reserve.

Experience:

Thanks to the support of SGP we have develop better strategies to work with indigenous communities and allow them to have another source of income as tourism. We have enforce the management of our Private Natural Reserve along with the State Park.
The threatened species program has reintroduced two Manned wolf individuals, three Marshdeers and thousand of other species as birds and reptiles.
The educational program works with more than 50 schools in Argentina to develop educational projects.
We work in five provinces in Argentina (Formosa, Chaco, Cordoba, Misiones, Buenos Aires and Santa Cruz)
